- Written Test (70 Marks): An objective-type (OMR-based) test of 1.5 hours covering English Language Proficiency (50 marks) and Assamese Language (20 marks). Candidates must secure a minimum of 40% in each segment to qualify.
- Viva-Voce (10 Marks): An interview for candidates who qualify in the written test. The final merit list is based on the total marks obtained in the Stenography Test and Viva-Voce.
