- GATE/NET Qualified Candidates: Ranked in descending order of their scores from exams held in 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026.
- Non-GATE/NET Candidates: If sufficient GATE/NET-qualified candidates are not available, the merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the qualifying degree (B.E./B.Tech or M.Sc.) from 2023 or later.
